1/4 cupflour
1/2 cupmilk
150 grambutter
1/2 teaspoonsalt
4 table-spoonsugar
2 teaspoonyeast
1 numberplain-chocolate
1 numberegg-yolk

Crossaints are the buttery crescent shaped pastry! Can be the perfect option for continental breakfast

  1. Take flour,salt,sugar,yeast in a bowl & combine thoroughly
  2. Add grated butter & just warmed milk & mix to form a dough
  3. Turn the dough out of a lightly floured worktop and press together to form a square
  4. Wrap it up in cling film and keep in the refrigerator for overnight
  5. Roll out the dough to a rectangle & fold the short sides towards middle
  6. Roll it out again repeating the folding steps two more times
  7. Cover it up with cling film & keep refrigerated for few more hours
  8. Roll the dough out again to a rectangle three more times
  9. Cut the dough into triangles & make a slit in each traingle
  10. Add the chocolate to the wide end and roll the dough up
  11. Cover with cling film and keep it aside for 2 hours
  12. Put it inside a preheated oven at 210 degreeC by brushing with some eggwash
  13. Bake for 15 minutes until it turns out golden brown in colour
